Reports to: Training Co-ordination Manager

Now recruiting a Training Administration Co-ordinator at Kings Cross. The role of Training Administration Co-Ordinator is primarily focused on planning and administration of large infrastructure led training schemes that GTR are obliged to deliver in partnership with Network Rail. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining high quality training plans and reports, both in MS Office and our bespoke rostering software. You'll already be an excellent planner, able to work quickly and accurately.

To succeed in this role, first and foremost, you'll need fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal. You will have the ability to build relationships with managers across GTR, as well as external stakeholders. You must be adept at working with MS packages mainly Word and Excel, but also PowerPoint and Teams creating a wide variety of documents. Knowledge or experience of the UK passenger rail industry and bespoke software such as Crewplan, TRUST, Assure and Sheila is an advantage but not essential.

Key Roles And Responsibilities
  • Deliver effective training plans, to timescale, so that training levels meet business needs and are in accordance with all applicable safety standards, legislation and company standards, policies and procedures.
  • To deliver training plans aligned with resource availability to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • To engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure maximum resource availability is achieved.
  • Ensure every opportunity is realised to deliver full coverage of the training plan.
  • Error free plans with zero shortfalls or delays associated with training errors.
  • To be a positive, proactive high performing part of the operational resourcing team.
  • To achieve fully trained and competent operational resources within the agreed timescales to deliver our training plans on time.
  • To report on all activities highlighting real time status in alignment with planned v actual.
  • Have strong presentation skills able to present to senior managers.
  • Financial delivery against budgetary targets achieved.
  • Assist Training Co-ordination Manager in administration and planning of all GTR Traction, Routes and Training Plans and knowledge as required.
