As the largest Train Operating Company in the United Kingdom, we are striving to make sure our passengers love travelling with us. Engineering plays a vital role in ensuring our trains are well maintained, safe for transporting passengers, and offer a reliable service.

We are seeking new infrastructure Managers to manage our London depot, control and deliver the Depot Infrastructure, Facilities and Plant Management for GTR in a manner that ensures all GTR occupied locations are maintained in a “fit for purpose” condition in line with applicable standards.

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Team Leaders, regular liaison with the depot infrastructure teams and external contractors.
  • Ensure that the depots are compliant to all mandatory legislation and GTR company policies.
  • To ensure the workload plan meets the requirements specified by the Infrastructure Asset Maintenance system.
  • To assist and lead on identifying third party maintenance contracts, manage all aspects of the delivery of the contracts.

What We Are Looking For

  • To be chartered in a relevant discipline (Building, Facilities Management etc...)
  • Experience within the rail industry.
  • 5 years experience in a maintenance or equivalent role.
  • Experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills are a must.
  • Process driven with the appetite for problem solving.
  • Strong safety background - a safety qualification would be beneficial but not a must.
