Financial Analyst - Strategic Plan (3461)

GTR are recruiting a Financial Analyst based out of Monument Place

This is a great opportunity for an individual with a proven track record to work for one of the country\’s busiest and award-winning rail companies.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the Finance team with a range of ad hoc analytical projects, providing timely insights and flexible problem‑solving as business needs evolve
• Supports the production of DfT Reporting templates
• Creates and enhances Power BI views to support internal and external financial reporting
• Deals with ad‑hoc financial requests from our key stakeholders, Go-Ahead and the Department for Transport
• Supports the period end reporting file, ensuring changes to GTR\’s chart of accounts are correctly reflected in our reporting files
• Supports projects across the business as they arise
• Supports the GTR Finance team in using more Business Intelligence tools more in day-to-day operations
• Co‑ordinating and providing feedback on certain financial business cases
• Point of contact with Data team.

Knowledge/ Skills/Experience

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• An interest in finance
• Part‑Qualified accountant (desirable)
• Excellent Power BI and financial system skills
• Evidence of commercial awareness and able to demonstrate a broad based view of issues, events and activities and a perception of their longer term impact or wider implications
