Are you a meticulous Project Planner with a passion for shaping the future of rail infrastructure? At Give Thameslink Railway (GTR) We\’re looking for a forward-thinking individual to join our Planning & Delivery team, ensuring complex enhancement projects are delivered on time, in scope, and in line with national rail standards.
Reporting to the Engineering Planning and Delivery Manager, you\’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring enhancement activities across our entire estate are meticulously planned and executed. You\’ll ensure all activity aligns with operational requirements, Railway Group Standards, and other statutory obligations β enabling the seamless delivery of our train service, maintenance, and cleaning/servicing operations.

Key Accountabilities
- Create and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and milestones.
- Monitor progress, analyse risks, and provide clear reports including critical path and earned value analysis.
- Incorporate change controls and communicate schedule impacts effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, including Network Rail, throughout planning, tendering, and delivery phases.
- Ensure compliance with Railway Group Standards and maintain accurate planning records for audits and reviews.
What We\’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Project Planner in the rail or infrastructure construction sectors.
- Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards, regulatory frameworks, and construction methodologies.
- Experience planning across multi-disciplinary rail environments (e.g., civils, signalling, electrification).
- Ability to interpret project data, communicate risks, and provide actionable insights.
