Our international clients are fast growing proprietary trading firms in the low-latency / high-frequency arena with multiple offices in the leading global cities London & Singapore. A fast-paced, flat structure, dynamic and collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, test, implement and support new and existing network infrastructures to meet short, medium to long term business and technical goals.
- Develop and maintain monitoring systems including creating reports for performance and availability.
- Problem solve operational incidents with strong business-orientation and drive and implement improvement plans for repeated incidents.
- Install, setup and update servers and network components at internal/external Data Centers.
- Work closely with other IT Infrastructure, software development or project management professionals internally and externally to improve network performance for enhanced business results.
- Lead and collaborate with other IT professionals to implement local, regional and global network related projects from end to end.
- Support in Linux, Windows, SAN and data centre deployment projects.
- Occasionally work onsite for colocation facilities in local and regional cities.
- Maintain and create technical documentation related to everyday operations, system configurations and system upgrades.
- Keep abreast of the latest technology and ensure internal policies and best practices are implemented in all network infrastructure.
Key Requirements:
- Quantitative Trading firm working experience is highly preferred but not necessary.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
- Excellent Networking engineering and architecture design experience in Linux / UNIX environment.
- CCNA, CCNP or CCIE qualified are advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, Spanning-tree, multicast, routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience with designing and implementing complex networks including switch architectures.
- Proficient in programming and scripting (e.g. Python, Perl or Shell scripts).
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, problem solving skills and the desire to solve complicated networking problems systematically.
- Good project management skills and proven strong organization & documentation skill sets.
- Experience in working in a dynamic, fast paced and international working environment.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects/priorities at the same time and have high tolerance for continually shifting priorities.
- Must have excellent English communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Fluent in English. Knowledge in Mandarin an added advantage.
