As an HGV Technician Apprentice you will work in our workshop maintaining and repairing our fleet of modern waste collection LGV/HGV vehicles, gaining hands‑on experience and contributing to eco‑friendly initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair vehicle chassis and cabs to VOSA requirements, and prepare vehicles for MOTs.
- Maintain and repair waste handling equipment, including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, electronically and on paper.
- Support health and safety initiatives to maintain the OHSAS18001 standard.
Qualifications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, strong decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
- Valid Cat B driving licence.
