What will the apprentice be doing?

In this role, you will be trained to repair vehicle damage to an exacting standard. You will work within a wider vehicle repair team and have a dedicated mentor assigned to you. You will have exposure to a range of vehicles and repair methods. You will be based in the paint shop and will learn all aspects of preparing vehicle surfaces for masking, priming, and painting before buffing and polishing the paintwork of the panel to a suitable finish.

Training and Qualification

You will train through GTG to SCQF Level 6 in Vehicle Paintwork Repair. Regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice’s own workplace and at GTG Training to ensure you have the required skills to successfully complete your apprenticeship.
