GTG Training are recruiting for an Apprentice Autocare Technician on behalf of an independent garage. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are ready to advance their career within the automotive industry.

- Apprenticeship: Min wage, 28 days holiday, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. If you work a Saturday you can have a day in the week off.

What You’ll Do
You will be based within the garage workshop and will be involved in learning all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.
Typical Day
As part of training, you will attend block release training at GTG Wolverhampton, and on-site assessments and reviews will be carried out by dedicated mentors and your workplace.

- Materials, fabrication, tools and measuring devices used in the automotive environment
- Inspection of light vehicles
- Diagnosing and rectifying chassis units and components
- Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle engines and component faults
- Ensuring your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
- Contributing to workplace good housekeeping
What You’ll Learn
You will train through GTG Wolverhampton to Level 2 Autocare Technician or Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician by attending block release training weeks.
Qualifications
GCSE Level or above in Maths, English and a Science or Technical subject or equivalent.
