We’re looking for an experienced and engaging Student Talent Acquisition Manager to join our management team at GTG Wolverhampton to expand our reach and engage with new customers for our apprenticeships and funded programmes, as well as potential learners.

About the role
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Sales, Funding, Recruitment and Quality teams to attract and recruit new talent, while contributing to revenue generation.
You will play an important role in growing our apprenticeships and funded programmes, and sourcing new partner support. While this is a new role, it reflects the strategic direction of the business – we’re looking for someone to play a key role in our recruitment strategy while achieving high engagement and meeting enrolment targets. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in this field; experience specifically within the FE recruitment sector is advantageous.
As part of this role, you will be expected to travel to different parts of the UK and lead the deployment of engagement techniques for internal and external stakeholders, broadening the reputation and outreach of GTG Training to the community and beyond.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and initiating strategies to achieve lead generation and enrolment targets.
- Using data collected at networking events to maintain a steady engagement pipeline.
- Embedding EDI practices within the talent team through training, development, and standardisation of delivery.
- Supporting employer partners in talent acquisition, focusing on EDI practices and removing barriers to employment.
- Analyzing recruitment practices with a focus on ROI for stakeholders.
- Managing staff workload to meet and exceed KPIs.
- Identifying financial opportunities with new partners in collaboration with internal teams.
- Managing business data through reporting mechanisms and sharing insights with senior leaders.
- Engaging in marketing activities with employers and the community in line with GTG strategies.
- Contributing to cross-GTG events.
- Adhering to policies and procedures.
- Undertaking any other duties as deemed appropriate by GTG.
Essential skills and experience
- At least three years’ experience in talent acquisition.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and funded programmes, e.g., Skill for Life.
- Understanding of safeguarding in an FE setting (including Prevent).
- Experience managing client/stakeholder relationships.
- Experience organizing and managing events.
- Data-driven and target-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills across diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Proficient IT and administrative skills.
- Proactive, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Flexible and responsive to business needs.
- Compliance with health and safety, equality, and diversity laws.
- Team player with high professional standards.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Valid UK driving license.
