Gtd Healthcare – Ashton GP Service
Permanent contract, part‑time (23.5 hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
Job Summary

Serving a diverse, multi‑cultural population, you will provide routine and urgent care and work within a collaborative team that supports continuity and compassion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based medical care to practice patients and, where appropriate, patients from other gtd healthcare‑managed services.
- Deliver all GP services required under the GMS Contract held between gtd healthcare and commissioners.
- Complete necessary and relevant paperwork associated with medical services.
- Operate as part of a networked clinical team with partner practices for peer development, support and shared services.
- Undertake surgeries during extended hours in line with practice access needs and contractual obligations.
- Support other clinical professionals within the practice such as Advanced Nurse Practitioners and practice nurses.
- Support the achievement of QOF targets and take a leading role in a specific clinical area where appropriate.
- Participate in the development of services that meet patient needs and maximise enhanced service opportunities.
- Assist with the implementation of change and undertake clinical audits as required.
- Participate in individual and practice reviews as part of incident or complaints management.
- Engage in ongoing personal and professional development, including annual appraisals and supervision.
- Ensure mandatory training is completed within agreed timescales and, if applicable, undertake the North West Deanery basic trainer course.
- Comply with all corporate and clinical policies and protocols.

Qualifications
- A medical practitioner listed in the General Practitioner Register under Article 1 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003.
- Not subject to suspension under Section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
- Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)).
- Currently on a performer’s list and not suspended from that list or the medical register.
- Accredited as a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) or have five years’ experience as a full‑time GP with a demonstrable commitment to quality practice.
Desirable: GP trainer.
Experience
- In practice as a General Practitioner or locum practitioner.
- Commitment to and experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary, skill‑mixed team environment.
- Experience of working to achieve standards within the Quality and Outcome Framework (QOF).
Desirable: Experience of supporting service change, team leadership, teaching and training.
