Purpose of the role: To provide support to the engineering operational activities by keeping our drawings up to date with the latest design and as‑laid information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed drawings for issue to contractors, developers, auditors, and internal staff using the company GIS and CAD software.
- Process and interpret drawings received from contractors, developers and engineers to ensure up to date and accurate drawing records.
- Work efficiently to meet company service level agreements.
- Maintain a high level of quality.
- Ensure drawings meet company regulations and industry standards.
- Any other duties as required by the Network Records Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Abilities & Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), numeracy and IT skill.
- Attention to detail is essential for accurate records and quality.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes or equivalent.
Desirable:
- Geographic information system (GIS) or AutoCAD experience.
- Multi‑tasking and responsibility for own workload.
- Understanding of the utilities industry.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good problem‑solving skills.
