Purpose of the role

Responsible for the delivery, redistribution, and collection of materials and plant to construction sites, in a timely manner to meet the requirements of multi‑utility engineering teams.

Your Key Responsibilities Are

  • Fully adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures, always ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Accept delivery of plant and materials from suppliers, ensuring check of fitness for purpose prior to issue.
  • Deliver and unload plant & materials to multi‑utility engineering teams, at various locations on construction sites, ensuring timely delivery of job packs.
  • Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment remain in good condition and report any defects, to maintain required safety standards.
  • Attend and fully participate in “toolbox talks” and other training courses as required.
  • Assist multi‑utility teams with cable laying activities as required.
  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Regional Construction Manager that fall within the general experience scope of the individual.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Manual Handling.

Desirable

  • NRSWA certificate for operatives.
  • Relevant First Aid qualification.
  • Previous experience working on construction sites.
  • CSCS Card or equivalent.
  • Cable winching qualification.
  • Cable laying qualification.

Conditions of Employment

  • You will hold a driving licence.
