Responsibilities
- Direct line management of other project managers, providing direction, guidance, monitoring, and reporting on all aspects.
- Support the development of all associated projects (NMS / DCC / LV monitoring) through collaborative system development.
- Assist BUUK Departmental Managers in developing greater efficiency within the company to promote continuous improvement to GTC Electrical procedures.
- Actively support the business with all fiscal related items (suppliers / contracts / budgets).
- Create, monitor and report on a detailed NMS implementation plan reviewed fortnightly or monthly with the Project Sponsor and the Electricity Steering Group.
- Manage the effective deployment of the NMS system at each of the key strategic sites, and create the necessary policies, procedures, technical standards and training material for deployment and operation.
- Work with the Energy Networks Association, Ofgem, BEIS, and other bodies in developing our future electrical network, liaising with other Network Operators (DNOs / IDNOs).
- Any other duties as required by the manager.
Qualifications
- Educated to a minimum of HNC standard in Electrical Engineering, ideally qualified to CEng or working towards.
- Member of the IET and ideally with extensive experience in electricity distribution systems up to and including 33kV.
- Must have a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate or be working towards it.
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience in Project Management techniques.
Abilities & Skills
- Experience in project‑managing a large portfolio of work.
- Detailed experience of delivering innovative projects into business as usual.
- Ability to write policies and procedures and communicate at all levels.
- Sound understanding of relevant safety legislation and procedures in the electricity distribution industry.
- Experience managing subcontractors to facilitate successful project delivery.
- Good understanding of UK Distribution Regulations including the Distribution Code.
Desirable
- HND / MSc.
- NEBOSH.
- NRSWA.
