We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join a major engineering and infrastructure programme operating within a highly regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong leader with experience managing engineering teams, overseeing design reviews, and delivering complex infrastructure projects where safety, compliance, and engineering governance are critical to success.

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must hold active DV clearance, be a sole UK national, and be able to commit to full-time onsite working in Aldermaston.

The Role

As Engineering Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary technical team responsible for supporting the delivery of critical engineering and infrastructure programmes. You will provide leadership, technical oversight, and assurance while ensuring engineering outputs meet the required safety, quality, security, and regulatory standards. The role combines people management, stakeholder engagement, engineering governance, and technical review responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineering professionals.

  • Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance.
  • Sole UK nationality.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Aldermaston.
  • Significant experience delivering engineering or infrastructure programmes.
  • Proven experience leading or participating in technical design reviews.
  • Strong understanding of engineering governance and assurance processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams within regulated environments.

Desirable Experience

  • Infrastructure, construction, utilities, or major project delivery experience.
  • Nuclear, defence, or other high-hazard industry background.
  • Configuration management and design assurance experience.
  • Civil Engineering qualification or related engineering degree.
