We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a highly advanced engineering and scientific facility based in Oxfordshire. This role is fully onsite with no hybrid working available and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a complex industrial environment supporting a wide range of electrical systems and plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, fault finding and repair activities
- Support the build and commissioning of new electrical plant and equipment
- Work across control systems, distribution systems and power conversion systems
- Assist with diagnostics and repairs on electrical and control equipment
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and safe systems of work
- Support ongoing operational and maintenance activities across the facility
- Work closely with engineering teams and Plant Responsible Officers to ensure safe and effective delivery of work
Essential Requirements:
- C&G 2330 Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology or equivalent (ONC/HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering also considered)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Apprentice-trained with industrial electrical experience
- Experience working on 3-phase power systems
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience within an industrial environment
Desirable:
- Inspection and Testing qualification
- Experience with HV/LV systems
- Experience with control systems and power conversion equipment
