GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Records CAD Technician who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this role
To provide support to the engineering operational activities by keeping our drawings up to date with the latest design and as laid information.
Your key responsibilities are
- To produce detailed drawings for issue to Contractors, Developers, Auditors, and internal staff using the company GIS and CAD software.
- To process and interpret drawings received from Contractors, Developers and Engineers to ensure up to date and accurate drawing records.
- To work efficiently to ensure you are meeting company service level agreements.
- To maintain a high level of quality.
- Ensure drawings meet company regulations and industry standards.
- Any other duties as required by the Network Records Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge
Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Abilities/Skills
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), numeracy and IT skill.
- Attention to detail is essential for accurate records and quality.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes or equivalent.
- Geographical information system (GIS) or AutoCAD experience.
- Multi-tasking and responsibility for own workload.
- Understanding of the utilities industry.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills.
