The Role
As a Powered Access Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing our modern fleet of powered access equipment, ensuring machines are safe, compliant, and ready for hire. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on powered access equipment
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and control system faults
- Completing LOLER and CAP inspections where qualified
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
- Supporting depot operations to maximise fleet availability and customer satisfaction
- Working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team
About You
We're looking for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy solving technical problems, and are committed to delivering high standards.
- Experience working on powered access equipment, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, or similar equipment
- Strong electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
- Good mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent attention to detail
- Positive, professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
Desirable Qualifications
- CAP Certification
- IPAF Licence
- Experience carrying out LOLER examinations
- Familiarity with telematics and modern machine diagnostics
