At Baba Chicken, we are looking for a professional Tandoor Cook who can work under pressure to prepare foods to the chef’s exact specifications while maintaining cleanliness and readiness of work stations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare doughs, breads and meats in the Tandoor.
  • Ensure and maintain quality during busy hours.
  • Re‑stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Dress dishes before they are served.
  • Check quality of ingredients.
  • Prepare food for service (e. g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Plan menus, ensuring quality of food and portion control.
  • Follow safe food handling procedures at all times.
  • Follow recipes to the exact specifications.
  • Function as part of a team, supporting all areas of the kitchen.
  • Complete prep lists to ensure enough products are available for service.
  • Keep the work area, utensils and production equipment clean and sanitized at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience, including experience as a Tandoor Chef, Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook in a full-service restaurant.
  • Excellent understanding of different cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
  • Energetic and accurate speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Familiar with industry best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Food Safe, Safe Check or equivalent certification (required).
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience as a Tandoor cook (preferred).
  • Eligibility

Applicants must be residing in Canada; international candidates will not be considered.
