About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Product Team. As a Senior Tuning & Analytics Manager at GSS you will lead key data science initiatives and client-facing projects that are intended to optimize the GSS solution across large and complex data sets. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, hands-on leader, have an analytical mindset, be a good communicator and have experience working in payments.
What you’ll do
- Leading the delivery of client-facing data analytics projects, from project definition and mobilisation, through to delivery, reporting and acceptance
- Acting as key point of contact between GSS and its clients
- Leading teams of data analysts
- Building a good understanding of the GSS solution, configuration options and impact of configuration changes
- Undertaking data analysis, in Python and SQL, to identify patterns in data to tune the GSS solution
- Creating client-facing reports as part of project delivery and close
- Presenting GSS methodologies and project updates to senior stakeholders
- Optimizing processes and methodologies on a continuous improvement basis
- Coaching and mentoring fellow team members
- Innovating with data to develop new analytic techniques and algorithms
Ideal Experience Required
- Degree in Mathematics, Science, Computer Science or similar
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in data analytics
- Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering data analytics projects based on large data volumes
- Demonstrable experience managing senior stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience managing team members
- A deep understanding of Python programming, SQL scripting and SQL databases
- A curiosity and ability to explore and understand large datasets
- Ability to identify trends & patterns within large datasets
- Advanced communication skills and stakeholder management skills including working with external clients
- Willingness to travel
Desirable Experience
- Experience in statistical modelling, and analysis using techniques such as regression analysis, multivariate analysis, factor analysis, and clustering
- Experience in analysing data in payments platforms including SWIFT, ISO20022
- Experience working with XML data structures and JSON data formats
- Experience in Sanctions
- An understanding of global payments and related market infrastructure
