Welcome to GSS! We are a Network-Driven Managed Service transforming the global financial system with cutting-edge technology, including AI/Machine Learning and collaboration with top financial institutions. GSS will become the industry default for screening transactions for sanctions risk through a consistent, standardised, and scalable model. Supported by regulators, trusted by the market. Join us in revolutionising the industry and making a real impact!
GSS is building the industry-standard model for sanctions screening, a transformational SaaS platform trusted by global financial institutions and industry partners. Our vision is to become the default infrastructure that banks rely on to manage sanctions risk with consistency, confidence, and scale.
You will play a critical role in building the brand, elevating our market presence, and driving commercial momentum, ensuring our narrative keeps pace with our ambition. Your leadership across brand, product marketing, demand generation, and events will directly contribute to how quickly and confidently GSS advances toward becoming the global benchmark for sanctions screening.
In this role, you will shape how we articulate that vision to the market. As a stand-alone Senior Marketing Manager, you will define and drive a marketing strategy that positions GSS as the credible, innovative, and trusted partner at the centre of this industry shift. Your ability to craft clear, compelling messaging from complex technical and regulatory concepts will be essential in helping customers understand the value and reliability of our platform.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Product & Content Marketing: Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, compelling messaging and content. Create materials that support sales, educate the market, and articulate product value to banks and financial institutions.
- Brand Leadership: Own and enhance the GSS brand, ensuring consistency, clarity, and relevance across all channels. Develop a strong narrative that positions GSS as the trusted standard for sanctions screening.
- Demand Generation: Design and execute multi-channel campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth. Use data-led insights to optimise campaign performance and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Events & Market Presence: Plan and deliver high-impact events, webinars and thought-leadership opportunities. Ensure GSS shows up credibly and confidently in the markets we serve.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, sales, regulatory experts, and leadership to align marketing activity with business priorities. Ensure marketing plays a central role in supporting commercial objectives and customer engagement.
- Reporting & Insights: Track, analyse, and report on marketing performance. Provide clear insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current with SaaS, fintech, and regulatory marketing trends. Continuously refine our approach to ensure GSS remains relevant, differentiated, and competitive.
- Line Management: Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day management for our internal senior designer. Foster a high-performance culture and support professional development.
- Lead Internal Communications: Own the company intranet (myGSS) and ensure clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across all internal channels.
Ideal Experience
- Experience: Proven experience (4-6+ years) in marketing, with a strong track record across brand, product marketing, demand generation, and events. Experience within fintech, SaaS, or financial services is highly desirable.
- Education & experience: Background in marketing, communications, or a related field. Professional development or certifications in digital marketing, brand strategy, or SaaS growth disciplines are advantageous.
- Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of modern B2B marketing practices, including brand development, messaging, multi-channel campaigns, content creation, and event execution. Comfortable translating complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, compelling marketing materials.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to operate in a stand-alone capacity, owning the full marketing remit while collaborating effectively across product, sales, regulatory experts, and senior leadership. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.
- Demand Generation & Analytics: Experience using data-driven insights to shape campaigns, evaluate performance, and optimise marketing spend. Ability to interpret marketing metrics and turn them into actionable recommendations.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to new challenges, and evolve marketing approaches as the business scales.
What You Get in Return
- Impactful Work: Be part of a growing startup where your contributions make a real difference.
- Generous Leave: Enjoy 30 days of holiday (plus bank holidays).
- Comprehensive Benefits: Including a generous pension scheme, private medical insurance, and life assurance.
