Full job description for a Senior Residential Support Worker in Leicester LE3, working in a 2 Bed Children's Service (Aged 8-17) with a 2 on, 3 off shift pattern.
If you are a qualified RSW/Senior and looking for a new role, then GSR-Recruits have a fantastic opportunity for you. We are looking for a Senior RSW to work in a 2 Bed Home that cares for children aged 8-17. Your aim is to transform the lives of children and young people who have experienced complex trauma and abuse. All staff are professionally qualified or working towards a qualification in therapeutic skills to enable them to tend to the children and young people's practical, physical, and emotional needs.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be required to:
- Support the care team to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people.
- Undertake direct work with young people as appropriate.
- Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
- Offer supervision and support to carers in line with quality standards & regulations, and as directed by the Registered Manager.
- Promote our Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) approach and engage/lead weekly MDT meetings with Clinical and Education services on site.
- Assist the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose and uphold the organisation's mission statement and values.
This is a permanent role.
Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Minimum one year as an RSW - Essential
- Driver with access to own vehicle - Essential
- NVQ 3/4 Residential Childcare - Highly Desirable
