Role Overview

GSR is evolving quickly, expanding into new business lines, and operating in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of our client-facing platforms, partnering with Business Development, Client Services, Legal, and Compliance, and working closely with other teams in the engineering department.

You will oversee a portfolio of internal and third-party systems, shaping and executing a roadmap that includes:

• Client Relationship Management tools that govern our internal client processes.
• Internal client reporting, supporting data driven decision-making across teams and senior leadership.
• Counterparty and client data integration, including the generation and delivery of both regular and real-time reporting via various mechanisms, including APIs.
• A client-facing self-service web portal.
• A suite of compliance tools including trade surveillance and transaction monitoring, legal document repositories, ID verification and sanctions screening.

This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strong stakeholder management. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, while managing multiple concurrent projects to deliver on business goals. At the same time, you will ensure our systems meet the highest standards of reliability, security, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

You use technology to solve business problems, working with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable solutions. Beyond delivery, you proactively identify and shape new ideas and opportunities, addressing a wide range of business opportunities and challenges through a diverse set of technology tools.

You have:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or Senior Engineer in financial services, trading, or similarly complex domains.
• A demonstrated track record of building and scaling full-stack, distributed systems, or API platforms.
• Experience designing or integrating with complex systems, with a focus on supporting end-to-end workflows and data reconciliation, whilst maintaining strong attention to data integrity and operational safety.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in a regulated environment and familiarity with security, data protection, and compliance requirements in financial or fintech contexts.
