We are seeking a motivated and reliable 3.5-ton Delivery Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this energetic role, you will be the face of our company on the road, delivering goods efficiently and safely to our valued customers. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will ensure timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. Hours from: 06:00–15:00, 07:00–16:00, 08:00–17:00
Duties:
- Safely operate a 3.5-ton delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to maximize efficiency and meet scheduled delivery times.
- Load and unload parcels, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly for transit.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and proof of delivery records.
- Assist in warehouse activities such as stock movement or inventory checks when needed.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with commercial driving experience.
- Valid driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles.
- Ability to lift heavy packages safely during loading and unloading processes.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics operations.
- Ability to stay organised, punctual, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
