We are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team at our March site. This vital role involves maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, recycling equipment, and company vehicles to ensure smooth operations and uphold our commitment to environmental responsibility.
The successful candidate will contribute their expertise to support our recycling mission and uphold safety standards. This is a predominantly mobile/van-based role working on a variety of heavy plant and recycling machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and repair plant machinery and recycling equipment
- Work on shredders, shears, scrap handlers, hammer mills, generators, and related machinery
- Diagnose faults using technical documents and schematics
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and operational priorities
- Follow all health & safety procedures and company guidelines
- NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 minimum
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Plant Fitter
- Full manual driving licence essential (HGV licence advantageous)
- Own toolbox and tools required
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working on heavy plant and recycling equipment preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Flexible approach with the ability to manage varied tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Starting Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
