About the Team
The GSMA's Spectrum Team works with international bodies, national governments and the global mobile industry to build the foundation for the future of mobile. Our mission is to ensure that mobile operators have timely and affordable access to appropriate spectrum resources to meet the growing demands of mobile services. We are committed to maximising the benefits spectrum brings to economic growth, digital inclusion and carbon emission reduction.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be a confident and collaborative spectrum policy professional, combining strong policy analysis, communication and stakeholder-management skills. They will support the development of the GSMA's global spectrum policy agenda by translating complex technical issues into practical and accessible messages for different audiences.
- Support the delivery of policy and advocacy materials (e.g., consultation responses, policy positions, reports, blog posts, Op-eds, thought leadership pieces, and PR content) that effectively communicate the GSMA's stance on spectrum issues.
- Support the leadership on the relationship with the spectrum regional team, ensuring alignment of spectrum priorities across regions.
- Monitor domestic and international spectrum developments, translate complex regulatory issues into actionable insights.
- Support the delivery of events and workshops hosted by the Spectrum Team or third parties.
- Represent the GSMA at external meetings and in public fora with senior colleagues.
- Work closely with members of the Spectrum Team and colleagues in other departments to support GSMA spectrum policy goals.
- Further engage in spectrum policy discussions and collaborate with spectrum experts.
About You
- Demonstrate knowledge of spectrum management issues, both domestic and international.
- Have proficiency in verbal and written communication in English. Other languages are a plus.
- Have the ability to prepare and structure written content, including reports and formal responses to government consultations.
- Deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in the escalation of issues and the formulation of solutions.
- Build effective relationships internally and externally.
- Have experience working in a complex and challenging environment.
