The GSMA runs a successful series of Events and a growing Media, Data Intelligence, Services and Membership business. We are looking for a highly commercial, sales‑focused individual to identify new opportunities within the Events platform. If you are a self‑starter with a stellar sales track record and a hunter‑style skill set, we want to hear from you.

About The Team

This role sits within the global sales team, reporting to the VP of Sales. You will leverage connections across the association to source new clients for the Events business in a cross‑functional, matrix environment.

About The Role

  • Senior sales position requiring excellent sales experience and commercial awareness.
  • Hunter‑style selling skill set is a must.
  • Identify buyers within new verticals, quantify opportunities, explain benefits and ROI, and drive deals to contract signature.
  • Consultative selling, crafting tailored solutions to meet unique customer needs.
  • Deals are complex, high‑value, and involve multiple elements for a comprehensive package.
  • Support team handles administration and post‑sale account management.

About You

  • Extensive sales experience with some people‑management exposure.
  • Self‑starter who thrives on developing new business and delivering measurable results.
  • Knowledge of the connectivity and telco industry, or ability to quickly develop industry knowledge.
  • Experience selling events; media or technical sales background also considered.
  • Strong commercial background with a history of exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to create and write complex sales proposals.
  • Autonomous work approach and self‑starter attitude.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Computer literate; ideally knowledgeable of Salesforce, LinkedIn, and Sales Navigator.
