About the Role
The Trust Proposition Director will lead GSMA’s strategy to strengthen and scale the mobile industry’s trust proposition. The role shapes market direction and accelerates adoption of mobile‑enabled solutions across multiple sectors in user identity, authentication, enterprise identity validation, and broader digital trust services.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the vision and strategic direction for the Trust Proposition, defining priorities and long‑term industry outcomes to drive adoption at scale.
- Own the definition and oversight of trust‑related initiatives, driving toward impactful outcomes.
- Lead senior cross‑industry engagement that shapes the proposition, builds alignment across key stakeholder groups, and strengthens GSMA’s position with mobile operators, technology and commercial partners, market analysts, policymakers, and non‑governmental organisations.
About You
- Significant senior leadership experience in identity, digital trust or digital transformation within telecoms, financial services, or an identity solution provider.
- Deep understanding of the Customer Identity and Access Management market and ability to translate market developments into strategic direction and proposition priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to frame complex trust and identity topics for senior technical, commercial and policy audiences.
- Strong strategic understanding of network APIs, mobile identity and anti‑fraud initiatives, enterprise identity verification across channels, and the ability to direct specialist contributors where deeper expertise is required.
- Understanding of how mobile network capabilities address enterprise identity and trust challenges and of carrier‑based identity validation processes and their market relevance.
- Track record of leading major transformation programmes or industry‑wide initiatives, with experience aligning diverse stakeholders around a common strategic agenda.
- Highly developed stakeholder management and influencing skills, with credibility at C‑level and the ability to engage policymakers, industry bodies and cross‑sector partners.
- Strong cultural awareness and judgement, with the ability to lead effectively in a global membership organisation spanning multiple markets and stakeholder perspectives.
- Willingness for some global travel as required to represent GSMA and build senior stakeholder relationships.
