This is an opportunity to join our agile, fast‑paced, and versatile team of project professionals. The role will work closely with our team of Project Managers, Change Managers and the PMO team and will support the wider organization with high‑class project delivery and participate in the continuous growth and improvement of the GSMA.
The Project Services Team provides project management capabilities to deliver change initiatives across the mobile industry. Working in close partnership with subject matter experts within the GSMA and from across the mobile industry, the team manages a wide range of projects in all areas of the organization, including Technology, Product Development, Marketing and Events, as well as internal projects in IT, Finance and HR. The team also provides change expertise to guide the implementation of change initiatives within the organization. Project Services is the delivery engine for projects across the GSMA, delivering projects to agreed cost, quality and timelines while maintaining a strong focus on benefits for colleagues, members and the mobile industry.
As a Change Manager in the Project Services team, you will be part of the delivery of GSMA projects and provide change management support to the team delivering these projects.
You Will:
- Lead change management activities, using tools and processes to maximise adoption of the change.
- Perform impact assessments across projects and work with the Project Manager to integrate change management activities into the project plan.
- Develop and execute communication and engagement plans to inform and engage educated project stakeholders and impacted employees, in line with the project objectives.
- Support Project Managers with managing change throughout the project life cycle.
- Develop training plans as needed and work with the project team and the GSMA People Development team to provide training as required.
- Define and track success measures of change activities.
- Provide information and support to the Head of Project Services.
- Work effectively alongside the Project Services PMO, to support best practice and maintain change management standards.
- Play an active role in ensuring good stakeholder communications from the project team.
- Become an advocate for embedding change management principles across the GSMA.
This is a hands‑on role with successful candidates required to be self‑motivated and able to work effectively, with limited supervision.
Required Skills:
- A solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process.
- Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
- Experience of delivering training and change activities as part of projects and programmes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and use of plain English in communications.
- An ability to use a range of communications methods effectively, including email, instant messaging, telephone and face‑to‑face conversation.
- High aptitude for stakeholder identification and management.
- Networks well with new colleagues or those in other locations/departments.
- A good understanding of project management practices, processes, tools and phases of the project lifecycle – basic understanding of waterfall, agile or other delivery methods.
- Experience of working in an international and cross‑cultural environment would be beneficial.
- A willingness and confidence to present in team meetings.
- Good office IT skills, at least including Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Word and Excel as well as Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
- Change Management certification or equivalent experience desired.
