About The Team: The Enterprise Market Opportunity Business solutions with mobile technologies will represent two-thirds of projected operator revenue growth over the next five years, a $1 trillion market opportunity growing at 14% annually. The Connected Communities Team drives cross‑industry collaboration, vital for creating high‑value business solutions. Established in 2020, the team comprises nine integrated communities that align with GSMA’s wider framework.
- Three vertical‑focused communities – manufacturing and production, fintech and commerce, and smart mobility
- Six technology‑focused communities – identity and data, 5G futures, Internet of Things, mobile AI, non‑terrestrial networks, and open gateway
The team’s mission is to help the mobile ecosystem forge relationships, understand sector requirements, develop tailored solutions, and unlock new streams of revenue.
About The Role: The mobile industry is uniquely placed to address identity challenges driving digital safety and trust. The Identity Proposition Manager will spearhead GSMA’s efforts to strengthen the mobile industry’s Identity Proposition, advancing mobile solutions toward various industry sectors in the areas of user identity, user authentication, and enterprise identity validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership – direct the strategic development of the Identity Proposition to enhance comprehension and adoption.
- Delivery and execution – assume responsibility for the definition and implementation of identity projects, driving towards impactful outcomes.
- Cross‑industry collaboration – facilitate relevant groups that contribute to the development of the proposition and plan and deliver strategic engagement with key stakeholders: mobile operators, mobile industry technology and commercial partners, identity market analysts, non‑governmental organisations.
About You: Proven leadership in identity management or digital transformation within a telecom, financial institution, or identity solution provider. Deep understanding of Customer Identity and Access Management market. Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex identity management topics to technical and non‑technical audiences. Technical awareness of network APIs, mobile identity and anti‑fraud initiatives, enterprise identity verification across channels, or the ability to work with others to make up for gaps in your experience. Understanding of how mobile network capabilities are applied to enterprise identity challenges and of carrier enterprise identity validation processes. Track record in leading transformation programmes, or strong cross‑industry collaboration experience, with expertise in aligning the mobile industry on strategic initiatives. Strong stakeholder management and executive influence, capable of engaging C‑level leaders, policymakers, and cross‑sector partners. Display cultural understanding and sensitivity, recognising that GSMA is a global organisation with members from many countries and cultures. Be willing to do some global travel as required.
