About the Role
The GSMA Industry Security Team is the mobile industry’s focal point for mobile network security, coordinating industry-wide initiatives and engaging with regulators. This role focuses on the telecommunication industry's threat intelligence community. As the Platform Software Engineer for T‑ISAC, you will build, evolve, and maintain the technical backbone that supports secure cyber‑threat intelligence sharing.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Engineering & Development: Design, develop and maintain the T‑ISAC platform, delivering secure, scalable workflows, automation capabilities and collaboration tools for threat intelligence sharing and enrichment.
- Service Reliability & Operations: Lead operational reliability through proactive monitoring, incident management, performance optimisation and secure‑by‑design engineering practices.
- Integration & Interoperability: Deliver and support integrations, APIs and data‑exchange capabilities that enable secure, scalable intelligence sharing across members and third‑party security platforms.
- Platform Roadmap & Technical Strategy: Shape the evolution of the platform by defining future‑state architecture, driving technical improvements and evaluating emerging technologies.
- Security & Compliance: Maintain a secure and compliant platform using automated controls, vulnerability management and adherence to regulatory and governance standards.
- Collaboration & Community: Foster collaboration across members, analysts, security teams and industry partners to improve adoption and community engagement.
About You
Enthusiastic, ownership‑driven, and experienced in telecom or related environments, you will transform bold ideas into impactful delivery. You will have proven knowledge of designing, building and operating core platforms that enable secure, reliable, and efficient software delivery within intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics or a related field, including experience with ISACs or other information‑sharing organisations.

- Extensive experience building and implementing intelligence platforms (e.g. OpenCTI, MISP).
- Experience using collaborative open‑source tools for analysis and research.
- Understanding of Nation‑State Actors, Cyber Crime, Hacktivism and advanced threat actor TTPs.
- Experience in cybersecurity intelligence: collection, analysis and dissemination.
- Professional experience within the telecom industry, whether at an operator, partner, vendor, academia or the wider mobile ecosystem.
- Knowledge of mobile data, protocols and technology such as SS7, MOTIF, HRN, IRSF, URLs, GTs.
- Knowledge of mobile network architectures and services.
- Understanding of mobile‑network threat landscape and common attacks.
- Comprehensive understanding of telecommunication industry operations and challenges.
- Expertise in applying Mitre ATT&CK, MISP, OpenCTI, Meta, EclecticIQ, Government, Law Enforcement and other COIs for threat analysis and strategy development.
Preferable
- Experience working with ISACs or other information‑sharing organisations.
- Experience with mobile network protocols and related security concepts (e.g., SS7, SIP, BSS).
- Additional languages or technical knowledge relevant to telecom cybersecurity.
