Job Title: Trainee TIG Welder
Working hours: 38 hours a week, 4 days 7:30am 5:30pm Mon-Thurs.
Reporting to: Welding Team Leader / Production Manager
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to join our team as a Trainee TIG Welder. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop practical skills in TIG welding within a supportive and experienced environment. You will receive on-the-job training while assisting in the preparation, setup, and welding of various metal components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced welders in TIG welding tasks on stainless steel, aluminium, and other materials.
- Learn to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Prepare materials and work areas for welding tasks (cleaning, clamping, aligning).
- Observe and practice correct welding techniques under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all company health & safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Work toward developing accuracy, consistency, and high standards in all welding tasks.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in welding and fabrication.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
- Basic understanding of tools and machinery (training will be provided).
