Year 3 Teacher - Droylsden (M43)
Location: Droylsden, M43
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) / M1-M6 pay scale, Β£140 per day minimum (supply)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2026
We are recruiting a Year 3 Teacher for a warm, well-established two-form entry primary school in Droylsden (M43). The vacancy has arisen after the current class teacher relocated away from the area, creating a genuine opportunity for a qualified teacher to join a settled Year 3 team from September. With two classes per year group, the successful candidate will benefit from a built-in planning partner, shared moderation and a strong sense of team teaching from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 3, working alongside the parallel Year 3 class teacher
- Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records
- Manage classroom behaviour and routines
- Support pupils' transition from KS1 into lower KS2, embedding independence and stronger academic expectations
- Work closely with the wider KS2 team on planning, moderation and assessment
- Liaise with parents/carers and contribute to the wider pastoral life of the school
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
- Experience teaching within Primary, ideally KS1 or KS2
- Strong subject knowledge and confident lesson planning
- Confident behaviour management and classroom organisation
A fully enhanced DBS and two professional references covering the last two years are required.
