GSL Education is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Spilsby, Lincolnshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is available to work Monday to Friday and is passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
No two days will be the same! You may be providing one-to-one support, working with small groups or assisting students within the classroom. You will play an important role in creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Is available to work Monday to Friday
Is comfortable working within a specialist SEN school environment
Is confident supporting children and young people with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
Is patient, compassionate and resilient
Can build strong and positive relationships with students
Is adaptable and able to respond positively to different situations and challenges
Previous experience working within an SEN school or similar setting would be highly desirable. However, we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in Care or Support Work, who are looking to transfer their skills into education.
Relevant qualifications or training are also a significant advantage!
