GSL Education is looking for a Level 3 qualified member of staff for our already outstanding team in a nursery in Southampton, SO16. Applicants must have at least 1 year's experience working within an early years setting, this does not include training. It is desired that you already hold a first aid, safeguarding, behaviour management and food standards certificate; however, training on this can be given. Qualification must be in childcare. Knowledge of the EYFS is essential. It is desired that you have knowledge and experience in having key children, writing observations and have an understanding of learning journeys. Hours are full time, usually around 4-4.5 days a week. However, applicants must be flexible and adapt to business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide children as a Nursery Nurse / Teaching Assistant, offering personalised guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
  • Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behaviour challenges and promote positive outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Ideally a Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years.
  • Experience of working across all age groups in either nurseries or schools.
  • Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions.
  • Applicants holding a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle will be prioritised.
  • Demonstrated patience and empathy along with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Dedication to the success of students.
