GSL Education are currently recruiting an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and supportive early years setting in South Shields. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their learning journey. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and early years practitioners to support children’s development across the EYFS curriculum. The school is keen to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant who is caring, patient, and committed to providing high-quality early education.
The Role of the Early Years Teaching Assistant Will Include:
- Supporting children with learning through play and structured activities.
- Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and personal development.
- Working with small groups and on a one-to-one basis when required.
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Providing a high standard of safeguarding and pastoral care.
The Ideal Early Years Teaching Assistant Will:
- Be available to work Monday to Friday.
- Have experience working in an early years setting (desirable).
- Be warm, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young children.
- Have good communication and teamwork skills.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
- Have a fully checkable work history.
