Maths Second in Charge - Slough - January Start [Will be paid to scale]
We are seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher to join a secondary school in Slough as a Maths Second in Charge. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mathematics Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a background in middle leadership to support the leadership and development of the Mathematics department. The role is due to start in January, with the possibility of an earlier start to allow for a handover.
As a Maths Second in Charge, you will support the Head of Mathematics in leading the department, delivering high-quality teaching and learning, monitoring student progress, and raising attainment across the school. The successful Mathematics Teacher will contribute to curriculum planning, support colleagues, promote effective teaching strategies, and help maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
The ideal Mathematics Teacher must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have strong subject knowledge, and possess previous experience teaching Mathematics in UK secondary schools
- Previous middle leadership experience is highly desirabl
