About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students access the curriculum, engage in learning, and build confidence. Working closely with teachers and SEN staff, you will provide tailored support, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students in both classroom and one-to-one settings, helping them engage with lessons and activities.
  • Assist teachers with delivering lessons and preparing resources.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence among students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, engagement, and wellbeing.
  • Deliver personalised support for students with additional learning needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to provide holistic support.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Understanding of supporting children with additional learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to support students effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
