Are you enthusiastic about bringing the past to life and helping learners understand how history shapes the world today? GSL Education are recruiting for a knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher to join schools across Sheffield, particularly within the S2 and S3 communities. You’ll deliver thought-provoking lessons that inspire curiosity and learning.

As a History Teacher, you will encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful discussion while supporting students to develop a strong understanding of key historical events and themes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver well-structured and engaging history lessons.
  • Support pupils in analysing sources and developing evaluative skills.
  • Encourage respectful debate and independent thinking.
  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience as a History Teacher within a school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
