Are you a passionate and experienced SEND Primary Teacher dedicated to making a positive impact on pupils with special educational needs and disabilities?

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and skilled SEND Primary Teachers to join supportive schools in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and support children with diverse learning needs, helping them reach their full potential in an inclusive environment.

Role Overview:
As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons and interventions to pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence, independence, and academic progress. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and carers to ensure holistic support for every child.

Responsibilities as a SEND Primary Teacher:

  • Develop and deliver differentiated learning activities and personalised education plans for SEND pupils.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social development in line with school policies.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support pupil development and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the wider SEND provision and school initiatives.

Requirements for SEND Primary Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching SEND pupils in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND frameworks, including EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with clear explanations for any employment gaps over the last 10 years.
