SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) – Buckhurst Hill
Location: Buckhurst Hill, IG9
Salary: £95 – £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM (Monday to Friday)
Are you a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity? GSL Education is proud to partner with a fantastic primary school in Buckhurst Hill, seeking a skilled SEN TA to join their inclusive and nurturing specialist provision.
About the Role:
In this role, you will provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including behavioural challenges. You’ll play a key part in helping learners overcome barriers and thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities of SEN TA:
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEN and behavioural needs
Support teaching staff with lesson delivery and individualised plans
Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation
Foster confidence, independence, and a love of learning
Create an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom environment
What We’re Looking From a SEN TA:
Proven experience working with SEN and behaviour support, ideally in a school setting
A resilient and proactive attitude with a nurturing and patient approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Good standard of spoken and written English
A current, child workforce Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
A full CV covering at least the last ten years (with gaps explained)
