GSL Education is currently recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Loughton starting September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, offering the chance to make a real difference by supporting a child who requires tailored learning and emotional support. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEN (such as autism, speech and language needs, or emotional/behavioural challenges)
  • Supporting learning both within the classroom and in smaller group or individual settings
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies
  • Helping the child to develop confidence, independence, and social skills
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (in schools, care, or similar roles)
  • A positive, patient and adaptable attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
