GSL Education is currently recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Loughton starting September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, offering the chance to make a real difference by supporting a child who requires tailored learning and emotional support. This position is ideal for someone calm, nurturing, and eager to contribute to a child's academic and personal development journey.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEN (such as autism, speech and language needs, or emotional/behavioural challenges)
- Supporting learning both within the classroom and in smaller group or individual settings
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies
- Helping the child to develop confidence, independence, and social skills
- Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with SEN (in schools, care, or similar roles)
- A positive, patient and adaptable attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A real passion for inclusive education and child development
