GSL Education and a welcoming and inclusive school in the Derby (DE7) area are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs and help them reach their full potential. This is a rewarding role for someone patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a real difference in the classroom.
The Role
As an SEN TA , you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom. You’ll collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
- Assist with personalised learning plans and classroom activities
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
