Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Swanley Salary: ***** per day Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) who can hit the ground running and provide immediate, effective support in the classroom?
GSL Education are currently seeking a reliable and confident SEN TA to work in schools across Swanley , supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.
The Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant , you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
This role is well suited to someone with proven SEN experience who can adapt quickly to established school routines and make a positive impact from day one.
Main Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN Support teaching and learning in line with the curriculum and individual education plans Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement in lessons Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment Requirements: Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN role Ability to hit the ground running in a new school environment Strong behaviour management and communication skills A patient, proactive, and flexible approach A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply with GSL Education Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
