GSL Education are recruiting a committed SEMH Teacher to work with schools in Wakefield , particularly within the WF4 district, supporting pupils who require emotional and behavioural guidance alongside their learning.
As an Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher , you will create a calm, structured environment, deliver purposeful lessons, and help pupils develop positive coping strategies that support both learning and personal growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured and engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Build trusting relationships that encourage engagement and confidence.
- Work closely with pastoral teams and external professionals where required.
- Track progress and maintain accurate records of development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working effectively as an SEMH Teacher .

- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
