As a Secondary Teacher, you will play a vital role in raising achievement and fostering a love for learning within your specialist subject area. Core responsibilities include:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with national curriculum expectations across KS3–KS5 within your subject specialism.
- Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Track student attainment and provide clear, constructive feedback to support strong outcomes.
- Student Engagement: Inspire curiosity and a positive attitude to learning by making subject content accessible, relevant, and exciting.
- Classroom Environment: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment where all students feel motivated and supported.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues within your department and across the school to share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Professional Growth: Participate in CPD and stay informed of developments in your subject area and modern educational methodologies.
The successful Secondary Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge within your specialist subject and a passion for delivering high-quality teaching.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Effective behaviour management skills and high expectations for achievement.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
