GSL Education are seeking dynamic Secondary Teacher to work at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary School in Selby, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2025.

Secondary Teacher Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to students based on the curriculum guidelines and educational standards.
- Creating lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, asking questions, and participating actively in discussions.
- Monitoring and recording student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance, and communicating this information to parents and school administrators as required.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for learning.
Secondary Teacher Requirements:
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with valid teaching qualification (such as or with a PGCE. Teachers having ECT/NQT status are also welcome to apply.
- Experience working as a Teacher in a Secondary School setting.
- Passionate about teaching and in command of techniques to keep students engrossed.
- The ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management, lesson-planning, patience and empathy.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment where all pupils are encouraged to learn, progress, and have aspirations for the future.
- Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
