Job Title: Science Technician
Location: Secondary Schools in Leicestershire
Pay Rate: Β£83.33 – Β£100 per day (depending on roles and responsibility)

GSL Education is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to support the science departments in secondary schools across Leicestershire. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment, helping to deliver engaging science lessons and supporting practical experiments.

About the Role:
As a Science Technician, you will play a key role in preparing and maintaining equipment and resources for science lessons. Your responsibilities will include setting up experiments, ensuring the safe storage of chemicals and materials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and adhering to health and safety regulations. You will work closely with teachers to support the smooth running of the science department and may be required to assist during practical lessons.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a laboratory or similar environment (school setting preferred)
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures, especially in a science lab
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A valid DBS certificate on the update service or the willingness to apply for one
  • A driving licence is beneficial as some schools may not be easily accessible via public transport
