About the Role: GSL Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join an exceptional secondary school in Leicester. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students in a school rated Outstanding by Ofsted. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic teacher, committed to delivering high-quality science education across KS3 and KS4, with a proven ability to motivate students and raise attainment levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Develop and implement schemes of work that cater to a wide range of abilities.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to foster academic growth.
- Support the school’s ethos of excellence and contribute to its vibrant learning environment.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and wider school life.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Science or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Science at secondary school level, preferably across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- DBS on the update service.
- A passion for education and a commitment to students' academic success.
