Are you an organised and experienced School Administrator with strong administrative skills and hands-on experience using Arbor?
GSL Education Hull Branch are currently seeking a School Administrator to work within a supportive and well-organised school environment in Scarborough. We are looking for a professional, efficient, and approachable administrator who can manage day-to-day school administration effectively, communicate confidently with staff, students, parents, and external contacts, and contribute to the smooth running of the school.
School Administrator Role:
The successful School Administrator will provide reliable administrative support across the school, helping to ensure that daily processes, records, communication, and office functions are managed efficiently. Experience using Arbor is essential for this role, and we are looking for someone who can confidently use the system alongside their wider administrative responsibilities.
School Administrator Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including records, correspondence, filing, and data entry
- Use Arbor confidently to maintain accurate student information, attendance records, and other school administration processes
- Act as a professional first point of contact for parents, students, staff, and visitors
- Support attendance monitoring and follow up on relevant administrative matters
- Prepare documents, reports, letters, and other materials as required by the school
- Work collaboratively with teaching, pastoral, and administrative staff to ensure the smooth running of school operations
School Administrator Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a School Administrator within an educational setting is essential
- Proven experience using Arbor is essential
- Strong IT, data entry, organisational, and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and approachable manner
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload, maintain confidentiality, and work accurately under pressure
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
