Are you a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in Schools across Thanet? GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants in Thanet to support pupils with special educational needs in inclusive and nurturing learning environments. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils with additional needs access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
SEN TA Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist students in accessing lessons in line with the curriculum and syllabus.
- Support pupils according to their individual education plans (IEPs).
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
- Support students with communication, social interaction, and learning activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A calm, patient, and supportive approach to learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in Education, SEN, Psychology etc, CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3, or a relevant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
